Health Inspections
Inspections are carried out on several levels:
At the farms
- compulsory veterinarian inspections.
- Health monitoring is carried out at all COOPERL HUNAUDAYE
farms by our team of veterinarians (13 in all).
On all meat production equipment:
Our sites are permanently supervised by official veterinary services .
Veterinarians and their assistants monitor product quality at all points
on the production line and implement a national inspection scheme
for analytical studies on carcasses.
During transport:
- temperatures are recorded to verify their stability during transport.
- Official veterinary personnel verify that current standards are
respected.
Both slaughterhouses and cutting / deboning facilities
have received approval to export their products to different
destinations including:
EEC
Switzerland
Japan
South Korea
Brazil
South Africa

Factory inspections
Inspection objectives are to monitor vigilantly all relevant
parameters that may affect product quality.
The inspection focuses on the following points:
Slaughter method inspection
Permanent checks are made to verify the proper functioning
of equipment and that quality assurance procedures are respected.
Hygiene Inspections:
Production line managers make daily inspections to assure compliance with hygiene
standards. In addition to inspections
carried out by official bodies, our quality assurance team makes
regular audits on all of our sites.
Microbiological samples are taken weekly (materials, surfaces,
personnel) to verify compliance with our operating procedures.
Cold-chain compliance monitoring:
Workrooms and storage facilities are monitored by automated means
and temperatures are recorded on a non-stop 24 hours a day basis.
Alarms signal any malfunction.
Temperatures are checked on raw materials and products before
shipment.
Microbiological inspection of products:
Systematic inspections on all products follow a precise schedule.
Our internal laboratory specifically inspects for specified germs
(Salmonella, Listeria, Escherichia coli
).
All methods used comply with current standards and our laboratory
is a member of an official network of laboratories for analysis
comparison (RAEMA).
